TDP MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah who was summoned by the Telangana ACB in connection with the alleged cash-for-vote case, today sought more time to appear before the anti-corruption agency, citing health reasons.

In a letter addressed to ACB's ASP M Malla Reddy, Veeraiah said, he has been suffering from pain in spinal cord and right leg and is taking bed rest as advised by his doctors and hence need time of ten days to appear before them.

"My doctors advised me against travelling and to take bed rest for ten days. Currently, I am undergoing treatment in hospital. I will cooperate with you in the case. However, I am unable to appear as of now or you can come to hospital and get information from me," Veeraiah, who represents Sattupalli seat, said in his letter.

Earlier, the ACB has issued a notice asking him to appear before it by 5 pm today.
The ACB had yesterday grilled Narender Reddy who was the TDP-BJP candidate in the Telangana Legislative Council elections.

TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy was arrested by the ACB on May 31 while he was allegedly offering Rs 50 lakh as bribe to nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson reportedly to induce him to vote for Narender Reddy.
