Speaking to reporters he said 450 MW per month will be procured for the months of February, March and April.
The financial implication of purchasing this quantity of power is a total of Rs 330 crore at Rs 110 crore per month. The Chief Minister has agreed to sanction this amount to the department, he said.
The purchase of power will result in uninterrupted power supply from 5 am to 7 am and 7 pm to 11 pm, benefiting students and farmers. Tenders have already been called in this regard and the process will be completed by January 29. From February 1 uninterrupted power supply will be assured, he said.
