MCX sells part of MSEI warrants

 The Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) has sold a part of the warrants that it holds in Metropolitan Stock Exchange of India (MSEI), the erstwhile MCX Stock Exchange.

The Multi Commodity Exchange of India has sold 14.82 crore warrants of MSEI convertible into 14.82 crore equity shares of MSEI to the various investors subject to the applicable provision, with respect to ownership of stock exchanges under the Securities Contracts (Regulations) (Stock Exchange and Clearing Corporations) Regulations, 2012, MCX informed the exchanges.

MCX had, in two tranches earlier, sold warrants of MSEI to IL&FS Financial Services. On March 30, 2015, MCX had sold 90.17 lakh warrants of MSEI convertible into 90.17 lakh equity shares of MSXI at consideration of Rs 2.5 per warrant subject to applicable provision with respect to ownership of stock exchanges under Securities Contracts.
