Six more women ministers to join govt

There would be three first time ministers in the list of six: Krishna Tirath of Delhi, Preneet Kaur of Punjab and Agatha Sangma of Meghalaya. Tirath and Kaur represent the Congress from Delhi and Patiala respectively. Sangma is a first time MP of the NCP.
While Tirath will become minister of state with independent charge, Kaur and Sangma will be ministers of state.

Congress MP from Ambala, Punjab Kumari Selja, who was minister of state for housing and urban poverty alleviation with independent charge in the previous UPA government, will be a Cabinet minister this time around. Congress MPs from Andhra Pradesh, Panabaka Lakshmi and Purandeswari, who were ministers of state in the previous government, will retain their portfolios.
