Company cheats people of deposits

 
Sri Om Sai Car and Rent Limited collected deposits from several people promising high interest and bonus and even issued cheques that bounced. Several cheating cases were lodged against the company in New Delhi and Ashok Nagar police station in Bangalore.

Bangalore City Police Commissioner Shankar Bidari warned the public against being taken in by such companies.

Youth arrested

A youth stealing laptops and other electronic gadgets, worth Rs 3.2 lakh, was arrested by Pulikeshinagar police here on Saturday and six cases of theft were solved.

Salaam Zia (21) of Vasanthnagar used to steal laptops, digital cameras, cell phones, DVD players, etc from cars and also by breaking into houses using duplicate keys police said.
