Wholesale price-based inflation stood at 8.66 per cent during the corresponding week of the previous year.
During the week, aviation turbine fuel and furnace oil turned more expensive by 2 per cent.
Among manufactured products, prices unrefined oil shot up by 21 per cent, malted food by 7 per cent and imported edible oil by 3 per cent.
Inflation for the week ended March 21 was revised upwards to 0.84 per cent from 0.31 per cent as estimated provisionally.
