Irrfan Khan, AIB team up to spoof Bollywood party songs

Last Updated 03 August 2015, 10:46 IST
Irrfan Khan ditched his intense image to dance with scantily clad women in AIB's humorous spoof on party numbers of Bollywood.

The expletive-laden take mocks Bollywood musicians propensity to use cliche, high-pumping numbers and their unimaginative but catchy lyrics to attract audiences. The six-minute-forty five-second-long hilarious video starts with AIB members approaching "The Lunchbox" star. His assistant starts bragging about the actor's ability to do "anything".

The members then remind him that he has never done a party number and Irrfan quickly accepts their challenge.

He takes the lead by dressing in blingy T-shirts and shorts and wearing coloured aviators.

"Same old party songs, same old cliche party songs..," actor sings along AIB members.

"When you want to earn 100 crores, just make a party video, apply the autotune patch, make lyrics to be so first catchy line, again same line, repeated several times, till it gets stuck in your mind," the song continues.

"when I asked money for the video I was told after this video you won't b needing money, you'll need lawyers," tweeted Irrfan about the clip.

Bollywood stars took to Twitter to shower praise on the latest offering of the funny group, who had stirred controversy in March due to their show "AIB Roast" that also starred actors Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and filmmaker Karan Johar. "Hahahah they are back!!! This time with "Oscar winning" jokes!!!," said actress Parineeti Chopra. Director Hansal Mehta posted, "#AIB is back! Brilliant party song take by @irrfan_k and @Vasan_Bala. Hilarious!"
