Shatrughan meets Kejriwal , raises eyebrows

Last Updated 06 August 2015, 19:32 IST

A day after expressing his displeasure over suspension of 25 Congress MPs from the Lok Sabha, BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha raised eyebrows on Thursday when he held a meeting with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Sinha’s hobnobbing with BJP rivals has not gone down well within the party top brass though officially leaders are not expressing the growing discomfort with the actor-turned-politician’s recent activities. “It’s not a crime to meet the Delhi chief minister. I came here to talk about Delhi’s development,” Sinha said after the interaction with Kejriwal.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Ashutosh were present at the chief minister’s residence where the confabulation went on for about an hour.

Though Sinha’s reaction appeared to be guarded, the MP from Patna Saheb was more forthright in sharing his views on Kejriwal ahead of the last Delhi Assembly elections which the BJP lost very badly.
