Nestle India on Thursday said it would like to get its popular Maggi noodles back on the shelves soon and that it will comply with the Bombay High Court order that has called for fresh tests while revoking the ban order passed earlier by the regulator.

In a statement following the order, the company also said it was awaiting the judgment copy.
"Nestlé India respects the decision made on Aug 13 by the Honourable Bombay High Court to revoke the ban order passed by Food Safety and Standards Authority of India's (FSSAI) and the FDA, Maharashtra on Maggi Noodles and will comply with the order to undertake fresh tests."

It said: Nestlé India remains committed to working with the FSSAI, FDA Maharashtra and other stakeholders. It is Nestlé India's endeavour to get Maggi Noodles back on the shelves as soon as possible for the benefit of our consumers."

In a keenly-awaited judgment, the Bombay High Court on Thursday lifted the ban on sale of its Maggi instant noodles and ordered fresh tests by three separate laboratories to ascertain that it complied with the country's food safety norms.

The conditional relief came following a petition filed by Nestle, challenging the regulatory order of June 5 for the withdrawal and recall of nine variants of "Maggi Instant Noodles" and "Maggi Oats Masala Noodles with Tastemaker".
