JOIN USPolitical merchandise seems to be a hit with political parties campaigning for the BBMP polls this year.
From mobile pouches displaying party symbols to party friendship bands, the demand for merchandise has gone up this election season. Shops are also selling mufflers and caps with photographs of party leaders. A shop that has been functioning for more than six decades in the City, Rushab Enterprises on R V Road, sells promotional merchandise of different political parties. Caps, flags, friendship bands and even mobile pouches with party symbols of Congress, JD (S), BJP, AAP, among other parties.
According to the staff in the shop, they are selling around 25,000 pieces of merchandise everyday ahead of the BBMP polls. Jaswanth Raj, owner of the shop told Deccan Herald that all their production work is carried out in the City and they usually send their merchandise to other cities in the country, including Delhi. “This time, we even made products for Celebrity Cricket League,” he added.
