Narasimharaju, Karnataka Rural Road Development Authority Executive Engineer, T S Lokesh, Assistant Engineer (RDPR) and Santhosh Kumar Ulla, Assistant Engineer, National Highway Sub-division, Mangalore were suspended in October 2009, after the Lokayukta arrested them on charges of accepting bribe from a contractor and for possessing assets disproportionate to their known sources of income.
However, the Government reinstated two of the officers in the positions they held earlier, in December 2009.
The Lokayukta ADGP wrote to the Government taking serious exception to their reinstatement when the inquiry was still on.
