Elderly woman robbed

The victim, Sunanda Devi, 66, was returning home from a temple nearby when the culprits stopped her and introduced themselves as police officers. They told her about  the increasing thefts in the area and cautioned her about the safety of her ornaments. They called another man, who was also wearing ornaments, and asked him to remove his ornaments and keep them in his pocket.

The culprits then requested her to remove her ornaments and keep them in a packet. When the woman grew suspicious and asked them to produce their ID cards, the duo snatched her packet and fled on a bike parked near the temple.
