The BJP has scored a hat trick, winning the civic polls in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and in Karnataka. Modi tweeted the BBMP results were a “win for politics of development and good governance”, hinting that people still preferred the BJP.<br /><br />“Thank you Bengaluru! My gratitude to people & congratulations to Karnataka BJP leaders & workers for great BBMP election results,” he tweeted. <br /><br />Finance Minister Arun Jaitley interpreted the outcome by saying “mindless negativity is counterproductive. This is the electorate’s message to the Congress after MP, Rajasthan and Bengaluru civic elections”.<br /><br />Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said the result was a “lesson” for all that “negative politics is not going to yield” since the BJP won in the IT hub of Karnataka though the State is ruled by the Congress. <br /><br />Though the civic polls results don’t offer a sense of people’s mind since votes are polled on municipal issues, the BJP has been drumming it up to keep its cadre’s moral high to face a the Bihar polls later this year.<br /><br /></p>
