The protests come ahead of the consultations to be held in Bangalore on February 6 at the Jnanajyothi auditorium.
Participants chanted slogans against Mahyco and Monsanto and wore huge ears and eyes symbolising their watchful stance and refusal to eat toxic food. Bhakti of Greenpeace said that they would be organising a series of activities till the consultations take place.
The coalition of organisations protesting against the controversial food are Greenpeace, My Right to Safe Food, Sahaja Samruddha, Era Organics, Samvaada and Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha.
