Education UK exhibition from Feb 8

Students can meet more than 90 representatives of 58 UK institutions to understand the admission procedure.

Indian students represent the second largest number of international students in higher education in the UK. More than 44,000 Indian students are currently studying in the UK and this number has grown at the rate of 45 pc over the last year. 

Students could pre-register at to guarantee entry.
During the exhibition, UK academics will be delivering seminars on topics such as Biotechnology, IT and Engineering courses, Post Study Employment Success and Studying in the UK.

An Entry Clearance Officer from the British Deputy High Commission, Chennai will explain the requirements to obtain ‘Student Visas’ and will also clarify the doubts.
According to a British Council release, Indian students are attracted to the one-year master’s and three-year undergraduate course (except Scotland) in the UK. Students can also take advantage of the Tier 1 (Post Study Work) scheme which allows students to stay in UK for up to two years to take employment without needing a work permit. International students get discounts for travel, entertainment and health care which is free or subsidised.
