Cheer the Indian nominees and be part of a massive musical gathering as the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards airs live on February 1 at 6.30 am on Star World.

This year’s show will witness the performances of famous international musicians, who are also this year’s nominees like Bon Jovi, Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas, Dave Matthews Band, Green Day, Lady Antebellum, Lady Gaga, Maxwell, Pink, Taylor Swift and Zac Brown Band. Other nominees this year include Kanye West, Jay Z, David Guetta, Kings of Leon, Bruce Springsteen and Keith Urban. 

The Indian nominations for Grammys include musical wizards like A R Rahman, Ustad Zakir Hussain and Ustad Amjad Ali Khan.

The track Jai Ho has been nominated in the category of Best Song Written for Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media. Rahman has also been nominated in the category of Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media for Slumdog Millionaire. International artistes like Miley Cyrus, The Jonas Brothers, Norah Jones, LL Cool J, Ricky Martin, Carlos Santana, and Ringo Starr are the first presenters. While the three and a half hour event will air live from the Staples Centre, Los Angeles at 6.30 am on February 1, viewers can catch a repeat of the same at 6.30 pm on the same day.

The show will also have a weekend repeat on February 7 at 6.30 pm.

True stories come alive on small screen 
National Geographic premieres a brand new season of its most riveting series, Jailed Abroad, every Monday night at 10 pm. Jailed Abroad: Philippine Terror airs on February 1 at 10 pm. Greg Williams travelled to the Philippines in 1996 in the hope of turning his life around as a church volunteer. But within days of arriving, he was kidnapped by the Abu Sayyaf — a brutal Islamic terrorist group linked to Al-Qaeda. Greg realised his only chance of survival was to escape.

Mighty fight

Watch Deadliest Warrior: William Wallace vs Shaka Zulu on February 1 at 10 pm on FOX History and Entertainment Channel.

In a first for this remarkable series, two specific legendary warriors are put to test. Both have led armies; both have fought for their freedom and for revenge. Who between them is the mightier one?

Sukh By Chance airs on February 1 at 9 pm on Sony Entertainment Television. Tina has called a maid to do household work so all the bahus are very happy.

Amit decides to order a pizza and gets a phone call from his college that results have been declared.  The whole family is enjoying pizza when Mohan enters. The family makes him have pizza and cold drinks.

Rajesh tells Mohan they don’t need to worry as Mahalaxmi Bank has opened and they have one crore in their account.  They also have the other three crores as the bank manager has confirmed that it is their money.
