A group of journalists from both sides of the border in Jammu and Kashmir have reportedly decided to share the news through a joint social media group.

A group of 29 journalists from Kashmir and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir, who recently met in Islamabad to discuss a range of mutual issues related to their profession and their role in the conflict, decided to work in this direction, local media reported.

The journalists came up with several recommendations and urged both India and Pakistan to facilitate implementing them and remove barriers on movement of journalists on both sides of the state.

The participants reportedly nominated a four-person content sharing group to remain in contact with media houses operating on either side of the border.

The Islamabad conference also suggested producing a documentary about the life across both sides of Kashmir and recommended involving media departments on both sides of LoC and delivering Skype lectures to journalism students.
