German marquee names add lustre to MoU

Five Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were exchanged at the Nasscom event, ‘Digitising Tomorrow Together, Indo-German Summit 2015’, held in the city on Tuesday.

The first was between Siemens and GIFT City on “smart urban mobility solutions for GIFT City”. The document was exchanged between Siemens CEO Joe Kaeser and Gift City MD and CEO Ajay Pandey.

The second MoU was between Rohde & Schwarz and TATA Power Strategic Engineering. The document was exchanged between Rohde & Schwarz CEO Manfred Fleischmann and TATA Power Strategic Engineering Division CEO Rahul Chaudhry to manufacture software defined secure radio communication systems for military applications.

The third MoU was between IBC Solar and OPG Power Ventures. The document was exchanged between IBC Solar CEO Udo Moehrstedt  and OPG Power Ventures Chairman and Managing Director Arvind Gupta on the solar PV projects to generate 1,000 mW of solar energy in the next seven years.

The fourth MoU was between Infineon Technologies and National Skill Development Corporation. The MoU document was exchanged between Infineon Board Member Arunjai Mittal and NSDC CEO Dilip Chenoy on the project to co-operate on skill development in electrical semiconductor production.

The fifth and final MoU was exchanged between Fraunhofer Institute Director (Corporate Strategy & Internal Affairs) Franke Treppe and HMT Managing Director Girish Kumar on their collaboration to improve the design of machine tools through research and development.
