Maggi clears Bombay HC-mandated lab tests

Maggi noodles could soon be back on the shelves as three laboratories designated by the Bombay High Court have tested and certified that lead content in its samples are much below permissible limits.

“We have received test results from all three laboratories mandated by the Bombay High Court to test Maggi noodles samples. All 90 samples, covering six variants, tested by these laboratories are clear with lead much below the permissible limits,” said Nestle India.

Over 3,500 tests, representing over 200 million packs in both national as well as internationally accredited laboratories, have been conducted and all reports are clear, Nestle India added.

In addition to these, various countries, including the US, UK, Singapore, Australia and others have found Maggi Noodles manufactured in India safe for consumption, Nestle India stated.

“Nestle will continue to collaborate with the FSSAI, the apex food regulator and other stakeholders,” it added.
