MBA student dies in road accident

The deceased has been identified as Shitij Kapoor, a resident of Boopasandra, while the injured is Vyshali Sarangi (23).

Shitij’s father, Sunil Kapoor, is a retired captain of the Indian Air Force. The Kapoors hail from New Delhi and settled down in Bangalore some eight years ago. Sarangi hails from Tumkur and stays at a PG in the City. Her father is a doctor in Tumkur.

Shitij and Sarangi were classmates, pursuing first semester MBA in Alliance Business School in Anekal.

As the examinations got over on Wednesday, Shitij and friends had gone to a friend’s house in Sarjapura for dinner. After dinner Shitij went out on his bike along with Vyshali for an ice cream.

Near Agara junction, while negotiating a curve, he lost balance and was thrown up in the air. He fell down on a heap of stone stored on the road side. He sustained severe head injuries, while Sarang fell on sand and sustained minor injuries. Shitij was immediately rushed to Nimhans, but doctors declared him brought dead, added the police.
