LshVa Trust will host ‘LshVa Festival’, a programme spanning three weekends from October 30 to November 14 at LshVa space in Koramangala. The festival will feature dancers, actors, singers, choreographers and art enthusiasts and end with a grand finale at JSS Auditorium.
This is a unique attempt to encourage emerging choreographers to create and exhibit their original work, rather than perform already-choreographed pieces.
The festival will showcase contemporary dances, bharathanatyam, odissi, kuchipudi, kathak, theatre, film and panel discussions. It will open with a Yakshagana performance by Mantap Prabhakar at LshVa Art Space followed by an Odissi performance by Sarita Mishra and bharathanatyam by Preethi Bharadwaj on October 31.
The other performances include a contemporary performance by Shreeya Kishanpuria, movie screening, a play by Sandbox Collective/Deepal Doshi, contemporary performance by Diya Naidu, bharathanatyam performance by Medha Hari, kathak by Anuj
Mishra and kuchipudi by Avijit Das.
