JOIN USNotwithstanding the threats by the Shiv Sena, famous Pakistan ghazal maestro Ghulam Ali has agreed to perform at the forthcoming Lucknow Mahotsav (festival) beginning in the last week of this month.
According to the organisers of the fest, Ghulam Ali will give his performance on December 3, 2015.
The organisers claimed that Ghulam Ali, who had cancelled his programmes in Pune and Delhi apprehending protests from the saffron outfits, had agreed to take part in the fest.
An official in the district administration said here on Thursday that adequate security arrangements will be made to ensure that nothing untoward happens during the program. The singer, according to the sources, has confirmed his participation after assurances with regard to security.
Lucknow Mahotsav showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the city of Nawabs, is held every year during November and December.
