As many as 21 eminent Indologists from across the world, including American scholar David Frawley, considered a “vedic teacher”, will deliberate on the present state of Indology, its relevance and the challenges faced in India and abroad, at a conference to be hosted by President Pranab Mukherjee here this month.
The three-day World Indology Conference, scheduled to begin at Rashtrapati Bhavan from November 21, will be attended by eight “senior scholars” in the subject from India, a communique from the President’s office said on Friday. “The deliberations during the conference would open new vistas for researchers,” it added.
