Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, on Saturday, laid the foundation stone for the ‘Beary Souharda Bhavana,’ which will come up at an estimated cost of Rs 12 crores, funded by Beary’s Welfare Association here in the City.
He promised that the government would provide financial grants for Bhavana.
In his address, the chief minister asked the people not to become victims of hate politics. “The country is undergoing a character crisis. Peace is at stake. Petty issues are being used to bring enmity among people and ultimately religion is used for political gains”, he said.
Former Union minister Veerappa Moily, Health and Family Welfare Minister UT Khader were among others present.
