Parag Milk eyes Russian market

Parag Milk Foods is planning to start exports to Russia soon, according to its chairman Devendra Shah.

“The Russian government has shortlisted two players, Parag Milk Foods and Schreiber Dynamix. The Union government has to sign protocol for us to start exports and we hope to start it in the next couple of months,” Shah said.

We expect three-four per cent of our turnover to be from exports during the current fiscal, Shah added.

The company currently exports to 27 countries all diary-based branded foods except fresh products. Exports contributed eight-ten per cent of the company’s turnover during the previous  fiscal.

Meanwhile, Parag has tied up with Germany’s cheese maker Hochland to bring their product Almette fresh cream into India.
