Two bike-borne miscreants snatched a gold chain from an elderly woman near Mathikere on Wednesday morning.
According to the police, the victim Sumithra, a resident of Mathikere, was walking back home after buying milk from a nearby shop when two persons came on a bike and the pillion rider snatched her 25-gram gold chain. Sumithra fell and sustained minor bruises.
By the time she could raise an alarm, the miscreants vanished. She informed her family members who registered a complaint in Yeshwantpur police station.
The police are gathering CCTV footage from nearby buildings and houses to obtain clues about the miscreants.
