A 19-year-old youth was killed in a road accident in Chamarajpet traffic police limits on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Ullas, a resident of Mysuru.
The accident occurred on the KR Market flyover while he was heading to Mysuru in his car after hosting a party for his friends in Bengaluru, said the police.
A speeding Ullas lost his control while driving on the flyover and rammed the vehicle into the median.
He suffered severe injuries and lost his consciousness. Passersby shifted him to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead on arrival, said the police.
Ullas had got a seat in a college in Delhi to pursue a programme in hotel management and he was scheduled to leave for Delhi next week. He decided to meet his friends in Bengaluru and host a party before moving to Delhi. He had come to the City on Thursday morning only to meet his friends, said the police.
