Youth arrested after sodomising 12-yr-old

A 22-year-old man was arrested on Friday for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy in a hospital in North Rohini of Outer Delhi on November 25.

The boy had revealed the matter to his father four days after the incident and a police complaint was lodged on November 30.

According to police, the incident took place on November 25 when the child was playing outside his father’s hair-cutting shop near Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital when Deepak, a vagabond, lured him on the hospital premises on the pretext of showing him a new thing.
“The boy was playing with marbles outside his father’s shop when Deepak told him to come with him if he wanted to see an interesting thing. The gullible boy followed him to a secluded place on the top floor of the hospital where Deepak sodomised him,” said a senior police officer.

Revealed after 4 days
“The boy returned to his house but didn’t reveal the matter to anyone. After four days, when the boy again saw Deepak roaming near his father’s shop. He got scared. When his father asked him the reason, he told him about the incident. His father took the boy to police and a complaint was filed on November 30,” he added.

Based on the complaint, police traced Deepak and arrested him on Friday.
A case has been registered under section 377 of IPC and POCSO Act with North Rohini police station.
