BJP, Cong candidates declare assets before Legislative Council elections

Suja Kushalappa, the BJP candidate who is contesting to the Legislative Council election from local bodies constituency, is an entrepreneur and coffee grower by profession.

As per the affidavit filed by him, he owns movable property worth Rs 51.77 lakh and his wife owns moveable property worth Rs 1.85 crore. His children – M K Kuttappa has moveable property worth Rs 25.11 lakh and M K Ponnappa has worth Rs 12.03 lakh. He has shown income of Rs 10.78 lakh in 2014-15 while his wife Parvathi has shown income of Rs 10.73 lakh.

He and his wife has Rs one lakh each cash in hand. He has deposit of Rs 3.07 lakh in Corporation Bank, SBI and other banks. His wife has Rs 9.60 lakh deposit while children have Rs 6,335 and Rs 3,555 deposit in bank.

Insurance

Suja Kushalappa has insurance worth Rs 36.30 lakh whie his wife has insurance worth Rs 23.02 lakh. The children have insurance worth Rs 24 lakh each.

He possesses pick up vehicle worth Rs 3 lakh while his wife owns tipper worth Rs 14 lakh, Tata 407 worth Rs 12 lakh, Mahindra jeep worth Rs 5 lakh, Tata 407 worth Rs 10 lakh, one tipper worth Rs 14 lakh, pick up worth Rs five lakh, Mahindra jeep worth Rs two lakh, Hundai I10 wroth Rs five lakh, Fortuner worth Rs 16 lakh,Hitachi AIX with Rs 12 lakh, jeep worth Rs two lakh, Skoda car worth Rs 10 lakh. His son has Innova worth Rs 13 lakh.

Suja Kushalappa posesses 350 gram gold ornaments worth Rs 8.40 lakh while his wife has diamond worth Rs 7 lakh, 1,400 gram gold worth Rs 33.60 lakh, five kg silver worth Rs 2.20 lakh.

Immovable property

He owns 16 acre coffee estate and nine acre paddy fields worth Rs 1.23 crore, inherited from parents at Chembebelloor. His wife owns Rs 9.62 acre farm land worth Rs 62.53 lakh at Kedamulloor. Kushalappa has purchased 27 acre coffee estate worth Rs 4.81 crore in Kedamulloor, Heggala, Hulugali, Athooru Nalloor. Eight acre land worth Rs 4.50 lakh was purchased in the name of his wife in Kedamulloor.

The affidavit says that he has received 4.81 acre land through donation in survey number 53 at Betoli. The value of the non agriculture land is Rs 6.60 crore. He also wons commercial shops worth Rs 43.29 lakh. While his wife owns comercial shops worth Rs 31.97 lakh. He has houses at Virajpet block number 6, Chembebelloor and Betoli worth Rs 86.98 lakh.

He has loan worth Rs 3.36 crore in KDCC in Madikeri. He has taken overdraft loan of Rs 5.24 lakh from Corporation Bank and also taken Rs R9.23 lakh farm loan. He has borrowed Rs 15.21 lakh loan in his wife’s name in Corporation Bank, Rs 9.95 lakh from SBI. There is Rs 4.05 lakh vehicle loan in the name of his son M K Kuttappa.

Cong candidate

Chandramouli, the Congress candidate, is a voter at Hebbala assembly constituency in Bengaluru and is a resident of HMT Layout in R T Nagara. He is an advocate by profession.

The income of Chandramouli during 2014-15 was Rs 30.62 lakh as per the IT returns. His wife Aruna’s income was Rs 3.94 lakh.

He has Rs 23.50 lakh while his wife has Rs 3.75 lakh cash in hand. He owns movable property worth Rs 4.02 crore. While his wife has Rs 59.21 lakh and son has Rs 5.50 lakh.

He owns 4.50 acre farm land worth Rs 22.50 lakh, at Doddakunda in Kodlipete. He owns non farm land worth Rs five crore while his wife owns non farm land worth Rs 1.93 crore.
Chandramouli has residential buiding worth Rs 6.23 crore while his wife owns residential building worth Rs 1.42 crore. The total value of immovable property owned by Chandramouli is Rs 11.49 crore while his wife owns immovable property wort Rs 3.36 crore. He has loan of Rs 2.78 crore while his wife has loan of Rs 66.48 lakh.
