Satish’s breezy 100 coupled with Pandey’s fiery 69-ball 95 helped Karnataka overcome a stiff challenge from Goa. Satish, in his 91-ball innings, hit 13 fours and two sixes, while young Pandey cracked five fours and as many sixes. Satish added 51 runs with Robin Uthappa (51; 7x4, 1x6) for the third wicket and was involved in a 173 run stand with Pandey for the fourth wicket.

Tamil Nadu and Karnataka claimed five points, including a bonus point, while Hyderabad gained four points.

Earlier, Goa’s formidable total was built around handy knocks from former Tamil Nadu batsman S Sriram (63; 9X4), Haryana player Ajay Ratra (45) and Saurabh Bandekar (60; 6X4). Left-arm spinner KP Appanna was the pick of Karnataka bowlers, grabbing five wickets for 56 runs, while skipper R Vinaykumar claimed two for 51.

Elsewhere, an unbeaten 98-ball 106 (10x4, 4x6) from KB Arun Karthik powered an under-strength Tamil Nadu to a commanding eight-wicket win. Kerala batsmen appeared all at sea as seamer Chandrasekar Ganapathy (3/42) caused early damage as the visitors were bundled out for 189 in the 50th over. Tamil Nadu then knocked off the runs in 36 overs with Arun leading the way. Partnering Abhinav Mukund (53), Karthik added 149 runs for the second wicket as TN cruised home.
