Four SSLC students belonging to the William Richards School at Champions Reef drowned in the Kambampalli tank on the outskirts of the town, when they had been for a swim, on Thursday.
They could not come out as they got stuck in the tank silt. Sylvester from Pipeline area, Touheed from fourth block, Nitish from N T Block and Vasanth from the area behind the City Municipal Council are the deceased.
On being alerted, the police arrived at the spot, but the boys had already drowned. The bodies of the boys have been fished out. The police have registered a case.
