According to police, the deceased has been identified Chetan (26), a resident of Badrakodi in Neermarga. Chetan was in his shop when the miscreants attacked him with sharp weapons. It is suspected that the assault must have been done to retaliate the assault of a certain Mohammed Ashraf, a resident of Marnamikatte on May 21.
Additional SP R Dilip said four persons have been taken into custody with regard to the incident.
Pandeshwar Police Inspector N R Mukri said “We will nab the culprits at the earliest.”
A case has been registered and investigation is on.
