JOIN USA 27-year-old man died after he crashed his bike into the parapet of a flyover near Tin factory under the KR Puram traffic police station limits in the early hours of Sunday.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Venkat Raju, a resident of Vijinapura.
He was the eldest son of a retired bank manager and had completed his postgraduation.
Passersby told the police that Venkat Raju was overspeeding and hit the side-wall of the flyover.
Severe injuries
He was thrown up in the air and fell off the flyover while going towards Hebbal around 1.15 am. He crashed on the ground from a height of around 25 feet and suffered severe head injuries.
Passersby shifted him to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Police visited the spot and are yet to ascertain if Venkat Raju was wearing helmet and had consumed liquor at the time of the accident.
A case has been registered at the K R Puram traffic police station.
