<p>The High Level Clearance Committee (HLCC) headed by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday cleared industrial projects worth Rs 23,382 crore, including a solar park in Tumakuru.<br /><br /></p>.<p>A proposal by Minera Steel Pvt Ltd to set up a 0.5 MTPA capacity steel plant at Sandur taluk in Ballari district with an investment of Rs 1,889.30 crore and another proposal by Wadi Cement for setting up a cement factory at Chittapur in Kalaburagi district with an investment of Rs 1,352 crore were also cleared.<br /><br />The High Level Clearance Committee okayed the Karnataka Solar Power Development Corporation's proposal to set up a 2,000 MW solar plant at Pavagada taluk in Tumakuru district at a cost of Rs 14,800 crore.<br /><br />Other proposals cleared<br /><br />The committee also cleared three expansion proposals by Udupi Power Company, Kirloskar Toyota, Textile Machinery Pvt Ltd and Tata Power, according to an official release.</p>
