Railways’ Track Management System goes online to help reduce accidents as the system will be able to send SMS alerts and e-mail in real time about the status of the tracks.
Launching the e-enabled Track Management System on Monday, Rail Minister Suresh Prabhu said that the new system allows constant monitoring of tracks and makes it easy to know what is going at field level. He said that system is designed for capturing the field data and sending it across the system.
After uploading such data, every concerned official can update himself about the status of tracks. The analysis of the data by the top level officials is also available simultaneously.
