11 Mangaluru students qualify for subject olympiads

 Eleven students of Centre For Advanced Learning (CFAL), Bejai-Kapikad Road, Mangaluru, have qualified for the second stage of the Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Astronomy Olympiads 2015-16.

Addressing media persons here on Wednesday, CFAL Programme Coordinator Severine Rosario said the competition is meant for high school students.

Kenrick Pinto is the State topper in both the Physics and Astronomy Olympiads. Pinto has also secured first rank in the country in the prestigious Association of Mathematics Teachers of India (AMTI) examinations.

Akshara Sharma has bagged the second position in the State in the Astronomy Olympiad (Chemistry, Astronomy). The other students selected are Dhanush Krishna (Chemistry), Neharika Singhal (Astronomy), P Gopalakrishna (Astronomy), Vivin Peris (Astronomy), Yashas Samaga (Astronomy), Rajana Kasangeri (Mathematics), Aditya P (Mathematics), Uthkarsh Salian (Mathematics) and V Anarghya  (Mathematics).

The Learning Centre (TLC) Managing Director Vijay Moras and Early Learning Centre (ELC) Programme Coordinator  Sonia Moras were present on the occasion.
