JOIN USA 22-year-old data entry operator in a bank has claimed that she was molested by her manager on a frequent basis in the office in Jalahalli cross under Peenya police station limits.
According to the police, the victim has been working as a data entry operator in the Karnataka Finance and Investment Bank for the past couple of years.
Warns him
In her statement, she mentioned that Mallappa, the manager, used to try to touch her in an inappropriate manner and pull her dupatta. She confronted him and warned him. But, Mallappa continued to harass her.
The victim tried to complain to the higher authorities, but in vain. She could not bear the harassment and informed her family members.
Complaint lodged
The family members, along with the victim, approached the police and lodged a complaint.
They are trying to trace the accused, who is currently absconding.
Also, the employees of the bank are being questioned to gather more details about the accused and are trying to find out if he was behaving with other female employees as well, police said. A case has been registered at the Peenya police station.
