A teenage boy, who was employed as a domestic help, committed suicide by jumping off the third floor of a building in Upparpet on Monday night.

According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Raju Bharadwaj, 19, a native of Chhattisgarh. He had come  to the City around six months ago and was working as a domestic help in Rajeshwari Guest House. He had left home against the wishes of his parents, in search of a job.

A few days ago, his brother Sanjay Bharadwaj came down to the City and asked him to come back home with him. Raju refused to go with his brother but Sanjay insisted because his parents were upset over him staying alone in Bengaluru, said the police.

On Monday night, Raju got into an argument with Sanjay over the issue. Upset, Raju went to the third floor of the building and jumped to his death. The staff at the guest house noticed him lying on the road in a pool of blood. They informed the police, who shifted the body for post-mortem, added the police.
