Realtor stabbed by his friend in sleep

A real estate agent was stabbed by his friend in sleep over a money row in Jayanagar during early hours of Wednesday.

According to police, the victim, Dhanpal, resides at a rented house in Jayanagar 5th Block. On Tuesday night, his friend Pradeep, who is also into real estate, had come to Dhanpal’s house for discussing business. Since it was too late, Dhanapal asked Pradeep to sleep in his house.

Around 3 am, Pradeep stabbed Dhanpal in the abdomen with a knife in the latter’s kitchen. Dhanpal started screaming and hearing his cries neighbours rushed for help. They saw him lying in a pool of blood while Pradeep was fleeing the spot. On being informed, the police rushed to the spot and shifted Dhanpal to a nearby private hospital. He is said to be out of danger, police added. According to police, the two had fought over a financial matter a few months ago, but had patched up recently.

A search has been launched to trace Pradeep.
