Last Updated 13 February 2016, 17:51 IST

The development works in the State have come to a halt. There has been an increase in crime and illegal activities. The Congress senior leaders too are issuing open statements against the functioning of the State government, said former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa.

Speaking at a zilla panchayat and taluk panchayat election campaign at Kuthpady in Udupi on Friday, he said the BJP will come to power independently in at least 15 zilla panchayats in the State, he foresaw.

“Internal differences within the Congress has increased. After the zilla panchayat and taluk panchayat election results, the disagreements will reach greater heights which can not be rectified by the High Command. There will be instability in the State politics,” he predicted.

He said that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has considered that levelling allegations against prime minister is his greatest achievement. The chief minister is involved in transferring the officials, he added.
