40th Swacch Mangaluru Abhiyan held at Mangaladevi area

The 40th Swacch Mangaluru Abhiyan was held in Mangaladevi area recently. The drive was flagged off by Swami Srikantanandaji and Prabhakar Bhat Kalladka.

About 800 volunteers, who were divided into 11 groups, were provided information and sent to different areas for cleaning.

Employees from MCF, led by their Director Prabhakar Rao, cleaned the area from Marnamikatta to Nandigudda. Employees of HDFC Bank, led by Prashanth Uparangala, cleaned the area from Cascia High School to Marnamikatta. The volunteers from Hindu Warriors WhatsApp Group under the leadership of Shivu Puttur cleaned near Marnamikatta Railway Bridge. Members of Kalki Manava Seva Samiti, under the guidance of Ganesh Bangera and Manohar Prabhu, cleaned Mangalanagar area.

 Students from Sahyadri Engineering College cleaned Mangaladevi Road. The members also cleaned Mangaladevi temple to Ramakrishna Mutt, Mangaladevi Temple area, Jeppu, Jeppu Market and other surrounding areas. 

The students from Government First Grade College, Car Street, under the guidance of Sheshappa Amin, lecturer and Mahesh K B, collected heaps of garbage from all these areas and loaded them in the truck for segregation and disposal. 

Volunteers also distributed handbills on Swacch Mangaluru Abhiyan to generate awareness among the localites in the area.
