Fun and fervour

St Claret College recently celebrated the seventh edition of ‘Recipro’, a festival of food and culture. The annual event provided a platform for the students to embrace the rich culture of the country and showcase different ethnicities. Kannada actors Sourav Lokesh and Sahana were the chief guests on the occasion.

The college was divided into six teams. Each team had students from various states which helped promote diversity and a variety of cultures. A number of music and dance performances were presented during the fest. An ethnic fashion show was also held where each team displayed beautiful avatars from various parts of India.

The main aim of the event was to reciprocate what one has received from society. This year ‘Recipro’ intended to raise funds for the medical needs and education of the underprivileged in society. The proceeds of the event, which included the money collected from the sale of lottery booklets, were given for charity. Students also set up different stalls serving ethnic cuisines from different parts of the country. The entire fest was a fun-filled affair and a grand success.
