The English version of Kites is being presented and reworked by the well-known Hollywood director Brett Ratner (Rush Hour Series, X-Men: The Last Stand).

Sanjeev Lamba, CEO, Reliance BIG Pictures says, “We have always believed that Indian films and talent can enjoy the same success and recognition internationally as in India. Kites is a first-of-its-kind Indian film and has already generated huge interest.

It is a compelling romantic saga that goes beyond barriers, boundaries and cultures. It is a story of passion that defies every rule of a relationship that takes two lovers on a thrilling journey filled with precious moments — and an unexpected betrayal.”

Shot in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Santa Fe, Kites is one of the biggest films ever produced in India.  Directed by Anurag Basu, it stars Hrithik Roshan and Mexican star Barbara Mori, along with Kangana Ranaut, Kabir Bedi and Nick Brown and has music by Rajesh Roshan, cinematography by Ayananka Bose and stunt coordination by Hollywood’s Spiro Razatos.

The English version is re-edited by Mark Helfrich (Rush Hour Series, X-Men: The Last Stand) with additional background score by Graeme Revell (Sin City, Grindhouse).
