Wild elephants destroy banana, areca crops in Tarikere

 Wild elephants have destroyed banana and areca crops in plantations developed on four acre land at Duglapura in Tarikere on Saturday night.

The plantations belong to Prakash. The banana was ready for harvest and the farmer has incurred a huge loss as a result of the attack.

Zilla Panchayat member K H Mahendra and Forest Department official Sangyanaik visited the spot.
