CBI probing financial links in Sheena Bora's murder

 Having filed the chargesheet against former Star India CEO and media tycoon Peter Mukerjea for murder of Sheena Bora, the CBI is now probing into the financial link and is expected to file another supplementary charge sheet.

On November 19, 2015, the CBI filed the chargesheet against Indrani Mukerjea nee Bora, her first husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyamvar Rai and hours after that Peter Mukerjea was arrested. On February 16, the CBI filed a supplementary chargesheet against Peter Mukerjea. The charge sheets have been filed in the Esplande metropolitan magistrate's court and it has now been transferred to the special CBI court at the Mumbai sessions court.

The accused have been booked for the murder of Sheena Bora, the daughter of Indrani with her first companion Siddhartha Das. The accused have also attempted to eliminate Sheena’s brother Mekhail Bora.

“The investigations have not stopped with the charge sheet. It is still going on. As of now, the accused have been booked and charge-sheeted under sections 320 and 120B of the IPC besides other sections. We are probing the financial angle now in greater detail,” highly-placed sources in the CBI told Deccan Herald.

Indicating the second supplementary charge sheet, the sources said: “We are probing financial aspects and we would be duly informing the court.”
