The Central Crime Branch police have arrested 27-year-old man who was betting on a cricket match. The police seized Rs 62,500 in cash, a mobile phone and a television set from the arrested.
Police gave the name of the arrested as Mohammad Rafeeque, a resident of resident of Aditya Layout, Ramamurthy Nagar. On a tip-off, the police raided the first floor of a house, behind The Christ King School, 8th Cross, Aditya Layout and arrested the suspect.
Mohammed Rafeeque had collected betting money for the inaugural match of World T20 between India and New Zealand played in Nagpur on March 15.
