JSS hospital gets NABH certificate

The JSS Hospital, Mysuru has been awarded National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) certificate for entry level.

Announcing this to media on Thursday here, Medical Superintendent of the hospital Dr M Guruswamy said, ‘The hospital was among 280 applicants, that were inspected by officials from the board. The hospital was eventually awarded the certificate, along with few other hospitals, considering its quality treatment and available services. The officials assessed the services at the hospital for three consecutive days.

Guruswamy said, the hospital aimed to upgrade existing services and get permanent accreditation in the coming days, followed by international recognition. Now, two other hospitals in the State—Kasturba Hospital and Father Muller’s Hospital, Mangaluru are already feted with the permanent accreditation by NABH.

The hospital has 1,800 bed facility under one roof along with environmental friendly measures like rainwater harvesting, solar facility, water treatment plant among others. Besides, 260-bed ICU and emergency wings are functioning with 55 special clinics to assist, followed by round-the-clock dialysis unit, drug centre, ambulance, blood bank, laboratories, X-ray, 24 operation theaters among other state-of-the-art facilities.
