Community organisations are eligible to apply for the benefit.
A sum of Rs 5 lakh or 50 pc of the estimated cost of construction will be granted in the form of monetary aid.
Interested organisations should submit the documents - building licence, approved plan and estimate along with a recommendation from the deputy commissioner to Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Department, 16-D, 3rd floor, Tank Bund Area, Vasanthnagar, Bangalore - 560 052 within June 30.
Similarly, scholarship will be awarded to Uppara community students pursuing pre-matric and post-matric studies, according to a release from the Department.
