Nothing done for TN during AIADMK and DMK rule: Shah

Coming down heavily on the Dravidian parties in Tamil Nadu, BJP national president Amit Shah on Wednesday said they did nothing for the state's development in the last 50 years.

At an election rally at Pattukottai in Thanjavur district, the BJP leader said that the state has not seen any development during the successive AIADMK and DMK governments and urged people to vote for the BJP to ensure all the developmental schemes of the Modi government are implemented in Tamil Nadu.

Charging the AIADMK regime of ignoring Centre's people-welfare schemes like UDAY and other projects, Shah said, during the recent floods, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made an aerial survey of the flood-hit areas and sanctioned Rs 2,000 crore as relief to the state. "But the state government used the funds by stamping its name on it," he said and alleged that the funds were not used for infrastructure development in the flood-affected areas.
