JOIN USThe Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) was flooded with calls from anxious parents and students on Friday after a private mobile service provider sent out bulk messages to its customers stating that the SSLC examination results would be announced shortly.
The KSEEB officials, however, clarified that it was only a rumour and urged parents not to believe such messages. “An official announcement will be made by the minister concerned himself before the results are announced. People are requested not to go by these text messages or WhatsApp forwards,” said KSEEB Director Yasodha Bhopanna.
The results will not be out before Monday, as announced earlier by Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Kimmane Ratnakar.
Department of Primary and Secondary Education Principal Secretary Ajay Seth told Deccan Herald that efforts were on to put the SSLC results out next week. A department meeting was held on Friday to dicuss several issues, including the examination results. “Some amount of work is still left, but we are trying to declare the results within next week. The PU second year results will be declared soon after,” he said.
